Independent Baptist Churches in New England searching for a Senior Pastor.

CONNECTICUT

Bethel Baptist Church was founded in 1976. We are celebrating 50 years of ministry by spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and by edifying the saints (Matthew 28:19-20). We are located in Prospect, CT, a quiet community of 9,500 residents. Prospect shares borders with the city of Waterbury (116,000), Naugatuck (32,000), Cheshire (29,000), and Bethany (5,300). We are an Independent Fundamental Baptist church deeply rooted, grounded, and directed by the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit, and by the absolute truth of God's Word in the Authorized King James Bible (KJV). Our sprawling church facility includes a large sanctuary for worship with a baptismal tank, fellowship hall and kitchen, nursery, classrooms for children ministries, offices, a prophet chamber, a small gymnasium, and an ample parking lot with large surrounding grounds (no parsonage). Our church has been shepherded by four (4) Pastors over the years who were supported by the freewill offerings of the assembly. We enjoy singing the old-time Gospel Hymns from our Hymn Books. We currently support 10 missionaries. Recently, our beloved Pastor of 22 years was called to glory to be with the Lord in June 2026. This leads us to our search for a pastor, a man chosen by God to continue His ministry at Bethel. The church is currently overseen by our two (2) Elders who are members of our Pulpit Committee. Our current assembly is mostly older saints, including a number of widows. Our Sunday morning service averages about 55 in attendance. Recently, God has blessed us with new couples as well as younger adults. The new Pastor must meet the qualifications that are clearly stated in 1Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9 along with having an unwavering conviction to study and to preach from the King James version of the Bible. It is important for the candidate to be willing to be bi-vocational to start. If God is directing you to candidate for the senior pastor position at Bethel Baptist Church, please send resume with references including your Statement of Faith to ej_allen@outlook.com

Our worship is traditional in nature, while also incorporating some modern hymns and conservative praise and worship music.

Located in Liberty, Maine, South Liberty Baptist Church serves a rural Mid-coast Maine community surrounded by small towns, lakes, and outdoor recreation. Liberty is conveniently located between the Augusta and Belfast areas and is within driving distance of Camden, Rockland, and Maine's coast.
