South Liberty Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a full-time pastor to lead our church and continue the work God has established in our community. We are an independent Baptist church that uses the King James Version for preaching and teaching. Our worship is traditional in nature, while also incorporating some modern hymns and conservative praise and worship music.
Located in Liberty, Maine, South Liberty Baptist Church serves a rural Mid-coast Maine community surrounded by small towns, lakes, and outdoor recreation. Liberty is conveniently located between the Augusta and Belfast areas and is within driving distance of Camden, Rockland, and Maine's coast. The area offers the benefits of small-town and rural living while still providing reasonable access to larger communities, shopping, healthcare, and other services.
Our Sunday morning attendance averages approximately 80, with a healthy mix of children, young families, middle-aged adults, and senior saints. We are blessed with an active congregation and several outreach ministries that provide opportunities to serve and share the Gospel throughout our local community. The church also has a heart for missions and faithfully supports several missionaries.
South Liberty Baptist Church operates a Christian school that serves families in our church and surrounding community. The school participates in an interscholastic sports program, and our church property includes a gymnasium that supports school athletics as well as church and community activities.
The church is debt-free and financially stable, with facilities that provide a strong foundation for continued ministry and growth. We are seeking a full-time pastor, and the compensation package includes a four-bedroom, two-full-bath parsonage located on the church grounds.
We are prayerfully seeking the man God would have to shepherd our congregation—someone who loves the Lord and His Word, has a heart for people, is committed to sound biblical preaching and teaching, and desires to reach our community with the Gospel while leading and strengthening the ministries God has already established.
Interested candidates should submit a resume, personal testimony, doctrinal statement, references, and sermon links or recordings if available to southlibertybaptist@gmail.com.
